Expert Coaches
Our trainers are the best in the business, with years of experience helping athletes reach their full potential.
Head Coach Virgil Moorehead Sr. has been coaching McKinleyville Wrestlers for 30 years and mentored multiple state champs.
Assistant Coach Scott Irving has been coaching the Youth Wrestling for the past 7 years and has 13 years competing and being a 2-time NCS place winner.
Assistant Coach Virgil Moorhead Jr. is a 5-year Division 1 Varsity Wrestler
Assistant Coach Kirby Franklin is McKinleyville Wrestling Alum, and a NCS place winner.
Assistant Coach John Randall is also McKinleyville Wrestling Alum and HDN MVP.
Every year we work hard to ensure our wrestlers will have the best of the best and be trained with Humboldt's Elite. We host many wrestling camps/clinics with some of the biggest names in wrestling.
